Heyho folks, your administrative issues are back again with yet another Just Cause 3 Multiplayer 1.1 development blog!🔥

So, about that 1.1 release...

So it's time we talk about 1.1. We always said we wanted to get it done this year (2017). Unfortunately this is not happening. Let me explain why and what is going to happen now:
Alex 'meow', our lead developer, had less time to work on the mod recently due to his day job, this was somewhat unexpected so our planning was slightly off.
Additionally some features took a bit longer than we expected to implement properly (which is of course not the main reason for the delay). While most things are in a somewhat usable state now, we don't feel it is good enough to push for a release this year.
Due to the amount of changes and new features coming in 1.1 we also want to have more in depth testing to ensure that the final public release has the best possible quality.

So here is what we are going to do, we will very soon start testing a version internally which will at the beginning of 2018 go into a public beta stage. To give you guys at least something, we'll drop an update for the current JC3MP version including one or two planned features from 1.1 this year. 

I hope you guys can understand the struggle we're dealing with. We will drop the public beta of 1.1 as soon as possible, that's for sure, so I hope you guys stay tuned about the update's progress.😉

Thanks for the transparency guys! We really appreciate all the hard work you're putting into this. I'm personally glad that you're taking time to make sure all the features are implemented properly before pushing a release, and a public beta is a really good idea to make sure everything works properly before it gets out to the masses. And a couple small updates in 2017 isn't bad either!

I look forward to these updates and can't wait to try out all the new features!

It's without any exception pretty normal that yall take your time you need, and that you don't rush. Thats a good sign the mod has a good dev team that is actually dedicated to what their doing - but you proved it already, anyways, its like last year and kinda funny I remember in discord early this year, the mod got released and voice chats were like hell :D

Atleast this isn't EA where the update would cost an additional 100$ from the base game. In all seriousness you guys have done great so far, so if taking your time means we will get a better end result, i'm content waiting.

But for real... We are not quitting because of some delay. If it's going to take more time than expected, then let it be. I bet that we all prefer to get full update with most things working properly even if it's going to be delayed. I hope we all know how things can turn in life, private life, job etc.

Great to hear you guys will be doing a public beta. The more that can test, the better the final product will be. I'm also looking forward to the small updates to the stable branch this year. Keep up the good work! 😄
